DESCRIPTION

The ALTEC LANSING Model 15581A Electronic Frequency Dividing Module is a single channel two-way active crossover designed to provide 24 switch selectable crossover frequencies ranging from 50Hz to 10000Hz. Crossover frequencies are located on the ISO one-third octave centers. The Linkwitz-Riley fourth order filter response provides stop hand attenuation of 24dB/octave.
The 15581A plugs directly into both rear octal sockets of a 9444A as well as other Anniversary Series power amplifier products. The unit divides the Channel One input signal into high-frequency and low-frequency portions. High frequencies will appear at the Channel Two output while low frequencies are routed through the Channel One output. Since all power is obtained from the octal accessory sockets of the amplifier, there is no need for an external power source. This allows the 15581A to provide greater system flexibility while minimizing cost and space.
