The module plugs directly into the powered octal socket of Anniversary Series power amplifier products. The 15599A can be externally adjusted by the user to vary the amount of low frequency enhancement. The 15599A uses Active Filter design in a Multiple Feedback Network. The circuit utilizes a direct signal path in conjunction with a sidechain path for processing low frequency enhancement. In the direct signal path, the audio signal is passed from the input stage to the output without any processing. The sidechain path is used to filter and shape the waveform of the audio signal, which is then added to the direct signal path. A time delay The 15599A obtains its power from the powered octal accessory socket on Altec Lansing's Anniversary series power amplifiers. This negates the need for an external power source. The circuit is designed to operate from a bipolar ±15 VDC supply with a current draw of approximately 25 mA. The 15599A is easy to install and use. Simply remove the jumpers from the octal accessory socket and plug in the module. The 15599A can be very useful in professional installations. |
